Disbursement Timeline
According to the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), children born between 2013 and 2024 will started receiving their Child LifeSG credits in the week of July 7, 2025. Meanwhile, those born in 2025 will be eligible to receive the credits in April 2026.
Use of Child LifeSG Credits

Parents can utilize the $500 Child LifeSG credits to cover essential household expenses, including groceries, pharmacy purchases, utilities, and public transport. The credits will be deposited into the Child Development Account trustee’s digital wallet via the LifeSG application. No application process is required, and families will receive an SMS notification once the funds are credited.
Education Account Top-Ups
In addition to younger children receiving CLC, about 300,000 students aged 13 to 20 will have a one-off $500 credited to their Edusave or Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA). This sum is meant to help cover education-related costs, complementing the Government’s regular annual Edusave contributions. Parents will also be notified by SMS once the disbursement is complete.
Part of Budget 2025 Measures
These payouts are part of the Budget 2025 household support package, introduced in February to help families manage the rising costs of raising children. The initiative underscores the Government’s continued commitment to supporting families at different stages of their children’s development.
